color scheme 1 of 2 of the logo design I made for a company. I'm pretty unsure about the details, but I know that it's a company that's connected to FedEx (and other companies) in some way.
It's about the unity of spokane of every ethnic background.
The different colors represent the different people. The colored people are in a similar color relation to the person next to them, kinda to show how we're all mixed. The people are firmly rooted into the ground, as to symbolize the connection to the city, and the stuff in the background beyond the plantlife (like the clock tower) are pretty much landmarks of spokane.
so there you have it, the unity of spokane in every ethnic group, blah blah blah (stuff)
Oo whoa...Thats a cool logo! is that why that guy was talking to Smith this morning? cause she said fedex and you ^_^ that's really neat! XD i wish you all the luck in my pocketses! ^^b
I like this as a symbolic art piece, and certainly the ties to my town give me warm fuzzies, but I feel like maybe this is too busy on the whole to be a logo. Lots of colors, lots of separate physical elements, as well as separate conceptual elements makes it all just seem to be too much. I recall a design teacher of mine, lo these many years ago, telling me that a good logo is like a closed fist, not an open hand, in that it's all contained, and nothing leads you away from the company's identity. This feels more like five open hands, all waving vigorously.
Again, though, it's a great piece of art. I do like it a lot. Perhaps I'm wrong, and some company is painting it on the sides of corporate vans as I write this?

you just reminded me that I haven't uploaded the final edited version yet. I agree that this picture too detailed for a logo though, since a logo is supposed to be something that only takes a split second to register in the mind. The new one is a bit simplified; no border, the background objects from Spokane are replaced with a mountain (since I found out that they spread further than spokane, and we have a lot of nearby mountains.) The edges around the people are softened and smoothed out too.

Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
